#1 HOW MUCH GROOMING DO I NEED TO DO?
Do you need to shave before a boudoir session? Yes. Probably. The thing you need to keep in mind that anything not covered with clothes or lingerie should be shaved or waxed. Unless of course you like the au naturale look. Note: If you decide to wax make sure and do it a couple of days before your session to your skin has time to heal.
#2 DO YOU CLEAN YOUR WARDROBE ITEMS?
Yes. Our sheets are washed after every session and every client. We also have a wardrobe full of items you are welcome to use during your session. All of those items are professionally cleaned after each use. Of course, we strongly encourage you to bring your own items. But if you opt to use something of ours, make sure you have a thong packed in your bag. We require everyone to wear a thong when they use our items.
#3 HOW DO YOU HANDLE PROBLEM AREAS?
I get it. We all have something that we aren't comfortable with (for me it is my double chin(s)). Once you book your session, we send out a questionnaire. It has a lot of questions but one of them is to tell us if there is something you are a bit insecure about. During your session I make sure and keep an eye out and I chose poses that will minimize it. If you have a sudden onset of teenage puberty pimples - no worries! I will take that out in editing. If you have a scar that you don't love just let me know. I like for you to be as natural as possible but will also help you get the images as perfect as you want.
#4 HOW WILL YOU MAKE ME LOOK SEXY? I CAN'T MAKE A SEXY FACE!
This is not something you need to worry about. It is my job to get you relaxed enough that you wont look like a duck. All you need to be able to do is follow simple directions. I will guide you on where to turn your head, how to point your feet, where to place your legs, knees, eyes, cheek, chin. I pretty much give you direction from head to toe. And we WILL get that sexy look!
#5 OKAY. BUT HOW SEXY WILL WE GET?
Boudoir photography is sexy. It comes across very intimate and suggestive. Sometimes you see an image and think it could even be something you would see in Playboy (or maybe Mazxim). Sessions are sexy. And they are very fun! But you don't actually get "naughty" in the studio. What you don't see in that sexy picture is all the laughing and talking we are doing behind the scenes. My goal is to make you feel sexy and look sexy but never cross the line into anything too naughty!
#6 BUT WHAT IF I AM NOT PHOTOGENIC?
I actually hear this one quite a lot. "I could never look like her." A lot of women are worried their pictures will not look like the ones on my website. You aren't thin enough, young enough, pretty enough, sexy enough, confident enough...
